Meet Jesus
Rick Manring - My walk with Christ began at the tender age of six.I remember when, where and who helped lead me to the Lord. 25 years ago my mother introduced me to my wounderful wife Jane. She is what keeps me going, along with my two teenage boys.My oldest son Joshua is 19 and my youngest, Jordan is 16. If God has given another man any better sons than what he gave me then he is a very blessed man!! After my wife and I wed, we made Tabernacal Baptist Church our home. That is where the Good News Quartet came together as a group. We all sang in the choir and became very good friends. There's a lot of things I could say about the guys but words can't describe what they mean to me! I had never sang before outside of the choir until they invited me to practice with them. From that moment I felt that God had given me a chance to uplift his name and I enjoy doing so.

Travis Suites - I am a sophomore at Appalachian State University and a member of Allen Jay Baptist Church in High Point where I previously served as music director before going to college. Prior to Appalachian State, I attended High Point Christian Academy where I graduated in May 2009. Growing up in a Christian home and in church, I have always enjoyed Southern Gospel music. At the age of 7 in June 1998, I realized I was a sinner and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Ever since then, God has given me a passion to live for and enjoy Him. I am truly grateful to Him for the opportunities He has given me to serve Him at such a young age in music, especially as a music director and a member of the Good News Quartet. The Psalmist says "thy lovingkindness is better than life;" it is my desire to share this love of God with others through song.
Randle Putman - James Randle Putman was born in Johnson County, TN in 1941. He was born into the family of God at the young age of 14. Having come to High Point in the fall of 1961, he began attending Woodlawn Baptist church. In 1962 he married the former Joyce Evans, a relationship that lasted for 43 years and produced two sons, Randy and Todd, as well as five grandchildren. After the death of Joyce in April 2005, he married the former Joan Mabe in October 2006. Since joining Woodlawn's congregation, Randle has served as a teacher for the Men's Bible Class beginning in 1976, as a Deacon for some 25 years, serving as Chairman for part of that time, as Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee, and as the Music Director for 20 years. According to Randle, "I've always tried to be faithful and dedicated to the Lord's work in any way He wanted to use me.
Doyle Ramey - Doyle Ramey was born in Lee County, VA in 1951. Raised in a Christian home and giving his life to the Lord. He had a love for Southern Gospel music. He started piano lessons and started singing at a very young age. He met his wife to be, Judy Evans, and together they started a group called The Christianaires in 1971. They married in June 1972. They sang and traveled for the Lord until their son, David Todd, was born. Doyle carried on the group until they moved to High Point, NC in April 2002, to be closer to their son, David Tood and wife, Chasity and their three grandchildren, Austin, Chase and Landon. Visiting Tabernacle Baptist Church, they decided to join and that's where he met the men that he sings with today. At Tabernacle, Doyle was the assistant Choir Dirctor, assistant Piano Player and Deacon. After a few years, God lead Doyle to Woodlawn Baptist Church where he now serves as the Music Director. Doyle plays the Piano, Organ and the Accordion. Doyle has written several songs, "There Was A Man" recorded the Singing Echoes from Cleveland, TN and "Don't Be Caught Sleeping" recorded by the Stewards from Kingsport, TN, as well as the Christianaires recording all that he wrote.

Psalms 69:30 - I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
Tim Hunt - Tim has been married for 18 years and has two boys, ages 11 and 14. He attends Tabernacle Baptist Church in High Point, NC and has been a member of the church for 15 years. Six of those years he has served as a deacon in his church. He is currentley serving as the Youth Director and Assistant Choir Leader. Tim was saved as a young child at Southside Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC and rededicated his life in 1991 at a revival service. Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
In 2007 the Lord started dealing with me about moving on, showing me that my tasks at Tabernacle had been fulfilled. My family and I started visiting the local churches in our area but we could not find a place we could be fed spiritually. One day a gentleman entered my shop, looking for the mechanic repair shop that was up the road a piece. I am the owner of Manring and Sons Custom Restoration in Thomasville, North Carolina, and have been for the past seven years, (my boys and I are having the time of our lives, you know how men and cars go together!!) This gentleman began telling me he was interested in getting some dings repaired on his car.We talked for a while about his repairs, then he began to tell me of the church he attended. As he was leaving he told me he would be back to have the repairs done and that he hoped to see us at church on Sunday. Well, God gave me more than just a customer, he gave me a new pastor. The gentleman was Rev. Elton Wilborne and not only was he a means to feed my family but also to feed our souls. He is the pastor of Charity Baptist Church in Archdale and that is where my family and I sit Sunday after Sunday being fed on the richness of Gods word. We sing in the choir and I also have the honor of helping teach the adult Sunday school class along side my pastor. If my life ended today I could say that the Lord has fulfilled my every dream in life and so much more.

Romans 8:8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God!!!!!
